Feedback on Eco-Reps Website

I’d love to get some feedback on the resource section of the website http://www.uvm.edu/~ecoreps/?Page=resources.html

How often do you use the resources page? Frequently, Occasionally, Never

What parts do you use? Manual, Meeting Agendas & Notes, Project/Job Descriptions, Links, logos

What is missing from the resources page?

I would say I use the page occassionally - mostly for the logos. I also use the links sometimes. It would be good if there was a place for eco-reps to post things theyve found useful for the unit on the site.

I use the page fairly frequently for links to information and such and it's always very helpful. I don't look at the meeting agenda and notes unless I miss a meeting.
I agree with Hannah that it would be cool if we could post things that we've found and used.

I use the resource page occasionally, mostly for finding resources to put on my board. I've found some great information from the links on that page which have really helped me with my board. I've only used a few images from the page and have never look at the meeting notes, mostly because i've never missed a meeting.
A place to have a dialog with the other eco-reps would be great. we don't live near each other and it can be hard to talk to other eco-reps about ideas or improvements.

I only really use the website to get links for my own reference. However, when I missed a meeting it was really great to have the site as a resource to catch up and get the chapter I missed. Overall I think the site is great. I plan to use it more in the future.

1. Occasionally. Since we receive hard copies of the info we need for our boards, I generally have not needed to use any of the resources from the manual. Likewise with meeting notes--I haven't needed them, but it's nice to know that they're there.

2. I don't really have anything I use frequently, but It is nice to generally look everything over to make sure i'm on track. It's not crucial to me, but makes things more convenient.

Missing? Probably nothing much. I think we pretty much cover at least most of what we need at meetings. I'm always confused though why we receive paper copies of everything when it’s available on the website…perhaps it could be limited to just the pages that will be collected? I don’t see why we need to use all of this paper--even if it is recycled.

I have also mostly used the page for logos, although sometimes i do go there for information to put on my board, etc. I also agree that it would be a great idea do have a forum where the eco-reps coud communicate about what htey are doing in their dorm building, what they have found useful, a place where they can ask eachother questions between meetings, etc. other than that, i just wish more people new about the site. Since im an eco-rep i usually know a fair amount about the information there, but it would be a great resource for people who dont know!

I occasionally use the website, but I think I reference the hard copies of the chapters we get at the meetings more. Some of the links on the website have been helpful though. I agree with Hannah that a place for eco-reps to share information or links they have found would be a great addition to the website.

Id have to say I use the site occasionaly, but started recently, using it for some logoos and links. I agree with Hannah in saying that a space for ec-reps to put up resources they think important would be a useful tool.

I think the resource page is a great one, but honestly I really don't use it. I mostly refer to my notes and the other references we get during the meetings.
The idea of putting other sources we use on the site is a great one...awesome idea guys!
I'm so excited for the extravaganza!

I would have to say I use the resource page occassionally. I use it most often for ideas and facts for my bulletin board. I find it very helpful and would love to see even more links, facts and research on it. The more, the better! I think Mollie's idea about having a place where the eco-reps could post their thoughts would be great. Then we would all have that one place to go to to get the facts! I would really like to see this site get bigger and better to the point where students can come to the website pages and really use the resources whether it be for class, research, and/or everyday life! ~Carrie

I think that for the most part the website is a helpful tool for both ecoreps and the general student body at UVM who want to find out both about the eco-rep program and who to be environmentally conciouse. I think that by adding a link that has some of the handouts that we have in our folder, might be helpful to students who refer to this site when looking for information about food, recycling, composting ect...
